Peace Out! Aerosmith Announces Farewell Tour

Breaking News: Rock Legends Announce Farewell Tour with The Black Crowes

It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for as venues across the country have been teasing the tour with Peace Out signs since last week. As Aerosmith fans speculated what this would mean, rumors began that the band would make the announcement on the Howard Stern Show and today we have an official tour announcement. 

The tour will kick off September 2nd in Philadelphia hitting major markets before wrapping in early 2024 in Montreal, QC including two stops in the Carolinas stopping at the PNC Center in Raleigh on September 24th and making its way to the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on October 17th. The tour will also feature The Black Crowes as direct support. More shows may be added so stay tuned. 

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on May 5 via ticketmaster.com. Several VIP packages including premium seating and a photo op with the band will also be available.

The iconic rock band features lead vocalist Steven Tyler, guitar gods Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton. Drummer Joey Kramer has opted out of the tour. 

“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed,” the band said in a statement.

Over their 50-year career, Aerosmith has given us some of the best blues rock songs in history with hit songs “Sweet Emotion” and the ultimate power ballad “Dream On.” They became a staple of the MTV era with their rap-rock remake of “Walk This Way” with Run- D.M.C.  and hits like “Angel” and “Cryin’.” The band has sold over 15o million records worldwide, had countless Top 40 hits including nine Number One songs, and has won just about every accolade in the business including 4 Grammy Awards. In 2001, Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame forever cementing their place in rock and roll history.
