NIALL HORAN UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “MELTDOWN.”

Track Is From The Show, His Third Studio Album, Out June 9

On his new single “Meltdown,” Niall Horan offers up a feverish anthem that perfectly captures the frenzy of anxiety, then twists the track’s chorus into a moment of sweet reassurance for his fans (“When it all melts down, I’ll be there”). Released today by Capitol Records, the song is from the chart-topping global superstar’s new album, The Show, which is due out on June 9. He wrote the infectious track with John Ryan and Joel Little, who also produced, and Amy Allen. Listen to “Meltdown” HERE. View the lyric video HERE.

With songs like “Meltdown,” Horan illuminates the driving force behind his more intentional approach to songwriting: a heartfelt desire to provide his fans with the same sense of catharsis that he unfailingly finds in music. “Whenever I’m having some kind of issue, the easiest thing is to sit at the piano and let it all out, and it’s not until I listen back that I realize, ‘Jesus, that was honest,’” he explains.

A deeply felt meditation on everything from mental health to the infinite complexity and uncertainty of love, The Show is an endlessly spellbinding statement on following your heart to its absolute truth. In this feature, Esquire said, “The Show includes some of Horan’s most vulnerable songwriting. Composed primarily on the piano, this album is an intimate reflection of his life as of late…” Fans who pre-order the digital album will instantly receive “Meltdown” and the first single, “Heaven.”

Horan, who will make his festival debut at Boston Calling on May 26, discussed The Show as he climbed the Scoville scale during a recent visit to First We Feast’s “Hot Ones.” View HERE. Following the release of “Heaven,” he appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” He gave fans a quick preview of each track in this TikTok clip while another TikTok post caught the attention of Vogue, which invited him to appear on “Beauty Secrets.”

“Heaven” bowed as the highest new entry on both the Spotify Global Chart and Spotify US Chart. It also achieved the highest-volume streaming day of Horan’s solo career thus far. Rolling Stone declared, “Niall Horan’s certified lover boy era has commenced.” Billboard noted, “‘Heaven’…reaches for eternal love with a vocal elasticity and guitar chug that play off each other with ease.” View the official video for “Heaven” HERE.

Originally from Mullingar, Ireland, Horan has sold over 80 million records and toured the globe multiple times as part of the iconic One Direction. His full-length solo debut Flicker entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 in October 2017 and contained the 3x RIAA Platinum single “Slow Hands” and the 2x RIAA Platinum “This Town.” The album hit the top 10 in 20 countries total. With combined global streams surpassing eight billion, Flicker has gone Platinum in five countries (including the U.S.) and Gold in additional seven countries. Heartbreak Weather followed in 2020 and topped the U.K.’s Official Albums chart and Billboard’s Top Album Sales tally. Horan joined NBC’s The Voice” this season as a new coach.

Old Crow Medicine Show Calls For Action – Protest Song “Louder Than Guns” Out Today

Old Crow Medicine Show Calls For Action With Protest Song “Louder Than Guns” Released In Partnership With Bipartisan Organization 97Percent

April 27, 2023 – Old Crow Medicine Show has released a powerful protest song Louder Than Guns in partnership with 97Percent, a bipartisan gun safety organization working to create researched-backed policies supported by both non-gun owners and gun owners. Recorded in the aftermath of the Covenant School shooting last month, the song was penned by bandleader Ketch Secor, who is a father of two and co-founder of The Episcopal School of Nashville. Furthering his commitment to the cause, Secor also will join 97Percent’s advisory board.

Stream “Louder Than Guns”

Guns are now the leading cause of death among children in the United States, and more than 349,000 students have experienced gun violence at school since Columbine in 1999. Following the devastating shooting in Nashville last month, Ketch Secor was compelled to speak out in an effort to unite Nashville’s music community in the fight for gun reform. He penned a compelling guest essay for The New York Times, spoke with Rolling Stone, CNN’s The Assignment with Audie Cornish and The CBC, and will appear in a live taping of KCRW’s Left, Right & Center in Washington, D.C. tonight.

On writing the song, Secor says: “When the lives of 6 teachers and students were snuffed out in a couple minutes at Covenant School in Nashville, I knew I had to speak out, and so I sought every opportunity to do so. I wrote the song ‘Louder Than Guns’ and recorded it just a week after the funerals for the slain. Before we recorded the track, I carved their names in my fiddle – Hallie, Evelyn, William, the three 9-year-olds, and Mike, Cynthia, and Katherine, the three educators. I dedicate this song to them because I swore when the shooting came to Nashville I was going to work my hardest to make it the last stop on this runaway train of murders, gun violence, and terror. I stand up not knowing the answers as to how this will be done. I am a musician, not a politician. But I will use my voice from now on to demand the change our communities deserve; won’t you join us in Old Crow Medicine Show and take a stand in your community, too?”

Yesterday, 97Percent and Wunderman Thompson launched the “Aim For Change” campaign, which takes aim at gun safety by giving a voice to a group usually shut out of the conversation: gun owners. “Aim for Change” is a petition featuring four gun reform laws that 97Percent’s research shows are supported by gun owners.

Secor explains the band’s partnership with 97Percent: “We’re proud to partner with 97Percent, an organization focused on pragmatic, impactful solutions that both non-gun owners and gun owners want, because we recognize the huge importance of getting through the gridlock on the issue of gun violence. Parents across America must set the example for politicians; the time is now for the Left and Right to come together at the bargaining table. As 97Percent believes, we’re never going to make progress without engaging gun owners. Old Crow hopes our partnership will be a calling to gun owners and sportsmen. The time to act is now and both sides simply must come together before the next innocent lives are lost.”

97Percent Executive Director Mathew Littman adds: “We are thrilled to have Ketch join our advisory board. As he wrote in his New York Times op-ed, country music has a unique opportunity to bring gun owners to the table. Our research shows the majority of gun owners support specific gun safety laws, but the loudest voices dominate the conversation. ‘Louder Than Guns’ speaks to rising above the noise, and Ketch wanted to point his fans toward a tangible way to incite change. Our Aim for Change campaign is a way to do just that. We’re extremely grateful to Ketch for spreading the word and for our future collaboration.”

About Old Crow Medicine Show:

Entering their 25th year, the GRAMMY Award-winning band Old Crow Medicine Show merges profound introspection with the rapturous string band revival sound that has made them one of the most influential and respected groups today. Their critically acclaimed seventh studio album Paint This Town released last year, hitting #1 on the Americana Radio Albums Chart and debuting at the top of Billboard’s Bluegrass Albums Chart. The band appeared on NPR’s World Cafe and CBS Saturday Morning, and garnered widespread praise from press including Associated Press, Consequence, SPIN, Rolling Stone and NPR Music who raved, “If this is any indication of what Old Crow Medicine Show still has in store so many recordings in its career, we should count ourselves lucky.”

About 97Percent:

97Percent is a bipartisan group of gun owners and non-gun owners united in our mission to reduce gun-related deaths in America, while respecting the Second Amendment. We believe the way to do that is by changing the conversation around gun safety to include gun owners, conducting innovative research, and leveraging technology to make our communities safer. Our name was inspired by a 2018 Quinnipiac University poll, which found that 97% of Americans support universal background checks: a critical gun safety policy that has yet to be made into federal law. While individual polls vary, support levels hover around 90% – a figure that represents unprecedented agreement on a topic generally viewed as intractable. We are committed to making progress on solutions that both non-gun owners and gun owners want to make our country safer. Learn more at www.97percent.us

Steve Aoki and 3LAU Supergroup PUNX Announce First Single “Concentrate” The Collaborative Music Project Using CryptoPunks IP to Share Ownership with Community Members on April 28th
April 25, 2023 – Steve Aoki (@SteveAokiand 3LAU (@3LAU) are unwavering in their support of web3, wholeheartedly believing it will drive the future of the music industry. Demonstrating these incredible capabilities, the two icons team up to release “Concentrate,” as part of their burgeoning “audio-visual IRL-meets-metaverse supergroup.” PUNX ushers the legendary Web3 IP, CryptoPunks, into a new era of sight and sound, with these two visionaries at the helm. On April 28th, the pair not only releases the audio and art to the masses, but also they’ll use music rights marketplace Royal to democratize ownership in the song. In a display of the platform’s capabilities within the music space–which includes purchasing tokens that represent streaming rights ownership in a song–the team will be giving away 50% of the song’s streaming royalties to 99 people. Each holder will receive 0.5% of the song. Current token holders among CryptoPunks, A0K1VERSE Passport, and 3LAU will be able to enter a drawing to receive one of these 99 coveted tokens.

Steve Aoki, who has already fostered an impressive web3 world, is thrilled to be ushering in the next era of the music industry, using PUNX as a case study. “It’s incredible to be at the center of this evolution, not only building community, but giving back to it directly,” says Aoki, “We’re able to feed the ecosystem and merge the fans with the artists in a way that was thought impossible until recently.”

In joining with Royal, Aoki and 3LAU take their endeavor even further, pushing past entertainment to true engagement and integration. As a community that typically offers additional perks like early access to new songs or opportunities to meet or chat online; this collaboration comes at the perfect time, allowing artists a new way to directly monetize their current work and raise funds for future projects. Thanks to the rise of web3, investing in your favorite musician or song is a reality, and it’s important to demonstrate just how far that can take the community. “Releasing ‘Concentrate’ as part of PUNX is a major moment for us. It offers our earliest supporters & believers a unique opportunity to co-own the song with me and Aoki. By launching the PUNX project on Royal, we’re not only pushing creative boundaries, we’re also empowering our community to be a part of our journey and share in our success from day one. It’s a new era for music, and I’m proud to be at the forefront of this exciting movement.” – Justin Blau ABOUT Steve Aoki

Boasting a 77 million average monthly reach across all his platforms and nearly 4 billion streams to his name, 2x-Grammy-nominated music producer, artist, fashion designer, entrepreneur, and NFT visionary Steve Aoki is one of the most successful cross-genre artists in the world. The DJ/Producer and Dim Mak Records founder holds the world record for Most Traveled Musician in a Single Calendar Year and has been described by Billboard as  “one of the most in-demand entertainers in the world.” As a long-time collector and “an unabashed futurist” (Fortune), Aoki has been at the forefront with his NFT collaborations, generating over $4 million with the launch of his first NFT, the Dream Catcher series. He also co-created the first blockchain-based episodic series with Dominion X, partnered with Sotheby’s on their Contemporary Curated series, and recently partnered with comic book legend Todd McFarlane to create OddKey, an NFT marketplace on the Solana blockchain for comic artists to freely showcase and sell their original digital artwork. Most recently, Aoki created the A0K1VERSE, an NFT membership community, powered by the Passport, that welcomes his fans to both virtual and real-world experiences. Following their stint at Royal Albert Hall, Jonas Brothers surprised fans with three more intimate, one-night-only shows across the US, including Los Angeles and Dallas earlier this week and Baltimore tonight. UPROXX described the Los Angeles show as “a love letter to their fans,” while Billboard declared, “The brothers came out swinging — perhaps practice for playing at a baseball stadium soon, with hits old and new receiving home-run worthy roars.” At the end of the summer, the band will perform not one, but two, massive nights at Yankee Stadium on August 12th & 13th. The shows will feature songs from five of their albums performed each night—including their new album, The Album. Remaining tickets are available now at JonasBrothers.com.

Jonas Brothers recently delivered stadium-level performances on Saturday Night Live, debuting “Waffle House” and album closer “Walls” live for the very first time. The unexpected performances received praise from critics and fans alike, giving audiences a taste of what to expect on The Album. Not to mention, the band joined members of The Roots for a stripped-back version of “Waffle House” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for their new series Musical Stairs—watch HERE.

Jonas Brothers returned in February with their widely praised single “Wings,” which launched a new era for the band and marked one of the most anticipated album releases of the year. Kicking off another chapter, The Album—executive produced by sonic visionary artist Jon Bellion [Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, Halsey]—marks Jonas Brothers’ first body of work since 2019’s Platinum-Certified Happiness Begins, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the GRAMMY® Award-nominated, 5x-Platinum, Billboard Hot 100 #1 smash hit “Sucker.”
