GOV’T MULE  Releases New Single “Same As It Ever Was”

New Studio Album Peace…Like A River Out June 16th on Fantasy Records

Spring Headlining Tour Kicks Off Tonight in New Orleans

May 12th Show from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium with Surprise Special Guests To Livestream via Nugs.net

Dark Side of the Mule Summer Tour Launches July 22nd

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 5, 2023 – Renowned GRAMMY-nominated band Gov’t Mule, led by guitar legend, vocalist, songwriter and producer Warren Haynes (whose performances last weekend at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday concert at the Hollywood Bowl were an event highlight), has released the new single “Same As It Ever Was, the opening track of their forthcoming studio album, Peace…Like A River, out June 16th via Fantasy Records. “Same As It Ever Was” features a soaring arrangement – anchored by Jorgen Carlsson’s thunderous bass and Matt Abts’ precise yet soulful drumming – that helps bring the song’s heartfelt sentiments home. Gov’t Mule has also shared a behind the song video for “Same As It Ever Was” – PRESS HERE to watch. Peace…Like A River, the band’s 12th studio album and follow-up to Gov’t Mule’s chart-topping, Grammy-nominated blues album, Heavy Load Bluesis available to pre-order and pre-save on DSPs – PRESS HERE. Each digital pre-save will include an instant download of “Same As It Ever Was” and the previously released single “Dreaming Out Loud” featuring Ivan Neville and Ruthie Foster.

“‘Same As It Ever Was’ is such an opus, an expansive piece. It goes in all these different directions, but lyrically and conceptually it makes sense to be the opening track,” shares Haynes. “Life throws challenges at you when you least expect it, but in some ways, the disruption of the lockdown period is no different than what could happen at any given moment. We’ve all dealt with what in some cases seem like insurmountable hardships, but in my lifetime, the pandemic is the first time that the entire planet went through it together. The whole message of the tune is we’ve come a long way, but now we’re on the other side and life is normal, life is good. Same as it ever was.”

The album’s lead single Dreaming Out Loud featuring Ivan Neville and Ruthie Foster is currently impacting Triple A radio nationwide. For the stirring song, Haynes wove together inspirational quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Robert and John Kennedy, and the late civil rights leader and U.S. Representative John Lewis. PRESS HERE to watch a behind the song video from Haynes about “Dreaming Out Loud.”

Peace…Like A River was recorded during the same sessions as Heavy Load Blues at The Power Station New England with co-producer John Paterno (Elvis Costello, Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos) alongside Haynes. The albums, however, were created in different rooms, with no shared gear or instruments, keeping the two concurrent projects with their own unique identity and character. One distinguishing difference on Peace…Like A River is the presence of talented friends in important guest roles, including Billy F Gibbons, Billy Bob Thornton and Celisse as well as Ivan Neville and Ruthie Foster. Thematically, the new 12-song rock collection explores the seismic changes the world has gone through over the past few years. Influenced both in his songwriting and playing by what Haynes calls “the golden era of rock, soul, jazz and blues,” Gov’t Mule combines the best and most enduring qualities from all those musical strains to create a timeless piece of art on Peace…Like A River that could have easily come out in the 1970s. PRESS HERE to watch the album trailer. Peace…Like A River will also be available in a Deluxe Edition (on CD only) including the special 5-track Time Of The Signs Bonus EP in addition to the original 12 tracks.

Tonight (May 5th), Gov’t Mule – Warren Haynes [guitar, vocals], Matt Abts [drums], Danny Louis [keyboards, guitar, and backing vocals], and Jorgen Carlsson [bass] – kicks off their spring headlining tour in New Orleans for a special show during Jazz Fest featuring special guests George Porter Jr. & Runnin’ Pardners. The band’s show at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Friday, May 12th will feature surprise special guests and be livestreamed for free via nugs.net exclusively for subscribers – PRESS HERE to subscribe and watch. The 10-date spring run then wraps in Haynes’ hometown of Asheville, NC with back-to-back shows at Salvage Station’s Outdoor Stage on May 19th and 20th. Gov’t Mule will head to the West Coast and Midwest in June for a mix of headlining shows and dates with The Avett Brothers before launching their Dark Side of the Mule Tour on July 29th. The 21-date summer amphitheater outing, produced by Live Nation, will feature a full Gov’t Mule set leading into their extremely rare Pink Floyd tribute Dark Side of the Mule, in addition to special guest Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, and will mark the final time Mule will perform the acclaimed set, which first debuted in 2008 and has only been performed live 10 times in total. Additionally, Gov’t Mule will perform select dates on Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour this summer and fall as well as various festival appearances. The band’s New Year’s Run from last year has also been rescheduled for December 29th in Philadelphia and December 30th and 31st in New York City. Grandson New Album I Love You, I’m Trying Out May 5th Via Fueled By Ramen

TICKETS FOR BIGGEST GLOBAL HEADLINE TOUR TO DATE ON SALE NOW

NORTH AMERICAN DATES FEATURE SPECIAL GUESTS K. FLAY, JACK KAYS, DE’WAYNE & NO LOVE FOR THE MIDDLE CHILD ON SELECT DATES

Genre-smashing alternative artist grandson announces his new album I Love You, I’m Trying out May 5th via Fueled By Ramen. Where his past work tackled political and social issues in nature, the new album turns the lens definitely inward resulting in a 12 track collection of grandson’s most personal and vulnerable songwriting to date.

“I’m painting the intimate portrait of myself I know how – covering themes of self harm, family trauma, the hidden side of life on the road, and so much more,” grandson shares. “This is the album that 16 year old me needed. This is the album I was scared to write and the album fans of mine deserve to hear. Above all this is the album where I face a big question: can I handle the changes life throws at me, and if this all that there is to life, can it be enough to be happy?”

New energetic single, “Drones” is out today. Pivoting from spoken lyrics to a frantic chorus vocal performance, the track is an industrial dance-punk anthem that revels in the bad feelings. Exploring new sonic heights, the track’s evolved production provides a perfect backdrop for weighty lyrics – “Tell me one good lie / so I can sleep at night / Hurt me one more time / I want to feel alive.”

“‘Drones’ is a twisting, spiraling journey through the lies we tell ourselves to get through the day when the hard truth may bury us,” the multi-platinum artist shares. “I wanted to pay homage to bands like Tool and System of a Down known for unpredictable time signatures but bring 808s and hip hop into it”
grandson creates sonic landscapes and writes songs to feel understood. After being labeled a “political artist” (which he is honored to be considered) he felt slightly boxed in by the title. The overwhelming pressure of writing a song to “change the world” and imposter syndrome had taken over, pushing to the brink of burnout. After 2020’s daring theatrical debut album, Death of an Optimist, the singer-songwriter wanted to create a project where he felt like he had “something to lose.” An album that featured honest conversations about his struggles that he was so desperately trying to overcome through songwriting in the first place. “I didn’t feel like I was bringing all of me to the table,” he says.

Cue, I Love You, I’m Trying which comes from a place of surrender – a surrender to control the narrative. It’s a deep dive into the psyche of a fragile, oft-emotionally unstable and yet wildly creative force. The result is a stunning, ambitious achievement, and one that peels back the layers of grandson’s public persona in ways he never could have imagined. A bold undertaking, the album was written with a sense of survival and urgency – the artist penned more than 40 songs, whittling them down to the essentials which appear on the 12 track collection.

From “Two Along Their Way,” which features a repurposed old recording from his father, to the chugging hip hop alternative anthem and lead single “Eulogy” (which has poignant and relevant line – “Do I exist if I don’t exist on the internet”)

grandson has the unique ability to lay himself bare, to reveal himself to his listeners and bring them along on the journey with him through life. grandson will embark on a massive global headline tour. Kicking things off with a two-month North American trek, the U.S. leg is set to begin on May 12th in San Diego, CA at the House of Blues and visits major markets coast-to-coast. Featuring special guests K. Flay, Jack kays, DE’WAYNE and No Love For The Middle Child on select dates, it rolls through Chicago, IL for a performance at the House of Blues on June 11th before concluding in Hampton Beach, NH at Wally’s on July 11th. The upcoming tour will also see grandson visiting Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Tickets for all dates are on sale now and see below for grandson’s full tour routing.

FILTER RELEASE NEW SINGLE FACE DOWN”

Face Down” the latest song from platinum-selling alternative-industrial rock pioneers Filter, will be available digitally today via Golden Robot Records.

Face Down” follows the release of “For the Beaten”, which was the first Filter track to be issued by Golden Robot in October 2022. Written by Filter founder Richard Patrick, “Face Down is classic Filter – a tight song with loads going on, including some killer drum fills and a restrained vocal delivery that seems ready to explode at any given point as the song progresses. The track lets you know early on where it is headed and locks you in from the start without ever becoming predictable. It will appear on Filter’s upcoming album, which is expected to arrive in 2023.

“‘Face Down’ speaks to the hate and negativity plaguing the world today,” said Patrick. “I wrote it after being inundated with lies, deceptions, and pure vitriol I saw on social media. I’m pumped. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the full album.”

For the first time in their 30-year career, Filter will present California Screamin’ – a full concert global stream performed LIVE on location in Los Angeles. HITKOR will be the official on demand streaming partner for the show, which will take place June 17. The LIVE performance will include special guests, classic songs Filter has not performed in over 25 years and the debut of brand-new material.

“I’ve been itching to do a live stream since things shut down a couple years ago but I got caught up in the studio working on our new album,” said Patrick. “When Scott [Donnell, CMO HITKOR] came to me and told me about HITKOR, and then invited me down to see Ministry do their thing, I was sold.”

California Screamin’ LIVE tickets are 14.99USD and All-Access passes are 19.99USD. For this special engagement, FrontRow advanced ticket discounts are 9.99USD and 14.99USD respectively and are available until Friday June 2nd. Purchase only at HITKOR.com.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the band’s birth. The celebration of Filter’s anniversary began in earnest late last year when Patrick was invited to join Nine Inch Nails for a special fan day Q&A at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The following night NIN mastermind Trent Reznor had Patrick and other former and current NIN band members join him for a special performance at the Blossom Center in Cleveland, OH, where the band was originally formed. The expanded NIN performed such staples as “Eraser,” “Wish,” “Sin,” “Gave Up,” “Head Like a Hole,” and a cover of Filter’s 1994 monster hit, “Hey Man Nice Shot.”

Filter also reissued their masterpiece “The Amalgamut,” this year through Craft Recordings which became available for the first time on vinyl.

Beginning in May, Filter will embark on a 6-month-long tour crisscrossing the United States and Canada before a planned trip overseas to play in Europe and Australia in 2024. Filter’s tour plans so far include headline shows, festival appearances and a place on the Freaks on Parade tour with Rob ZombieAlice Cooper, and Ministry.
The band will be offering a limited number of FILTER FANATIC VIP Packages that include exclusive merch, signed tour posters, used gear items, meet & greets and photos with the band on many of the dates below. More information and tickets at www.officialfilter.com

RATELIFF PERFORMS AT WILLIE NELSON’S 90TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT LOS ANGELES’ HOLLYWOOD BOWL

May 5, 2023—“Buy My Round,” the newly written and recorded track from Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, premieres today. The song appears on the band’s forthcoming EP, What If I, out on June 2 via Stax. The EP is their first body of work since the acclaimed 2021 album The Future. Listen to/share it HERE.

It was great to get to sing together on this one.”

Rateliff furthers, “Mark had been playing this one while we were writing for The Future but we never got a chance to dig into it. This is our first big collaboration on a song together and it turned out great.”

This past weekend, Rateliff performed at Willie Nelson’s star-studded 90th Birthday Celebration at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl. As part of the lauded two-day concert event, Rateliff contributed renditions of “A Song for You,” “City of New Orleans” and “I Can Get Off on You,” which was performed as a duet with Margo Price.

In addition, Rateliff and the band will hit the road this summer and fall for an extensive run of worldwide dates. The U.S. tour includes multiple shows at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Chicago’s The Salt Shed and Minneapolis’ Surly Brewing Festival Field as well as appearances at Brandi Carlile’s Mothership WeekendOutlaw Music Festival with Willie Nelson & Family, Pilgrimage Music & Cultural FestivalSea Hear Now Festival and more. See below for full tour routing.

The What If I EP features a selection of unreleased songs recorded during The Future sessions as well as the new track “Buy My Round.” All songs on the upcoming project were produced by Bradley Cook (Bon Iver, Kevin Morby, The War on Drugs) and R.M.B.—the production trio of Rateliff, Meese and James Barone (Beach House). In addition, the song “Slow Pace of Time” features Preservation Hall Jazz Band leader and clarinetist Charlie Gabriel.

Last month, the group premiered an alternate version of the track “What If I.” Listen to/share the “What If I (Cook Brothers Version)” HERE.

In support of The Future, which was released to widespread acclaim, the group performed multiple times on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “CBS This Morning: Saturday” and “Austin City Limits.” In addition, Rateliff sat with Anthony Mason of  “CBS Sunday Morning” to discuss the band’s rise to stardom.

Last December, Rateliff & The Night Sweats played their biggest show ever at Denver’s Ball Arena. The sold-out performance held special significance as it was their first ever arena show and featured a solo set from longtime friend and supporter Marcus Mumford and Hermanos Gutiérrez as well as a surprise sit-in from Amelia Meath of Sylvan Esso.

TYLER POSEY Shares New Single:

UNRAVEL Album Release Show
June 10 at Chain Reaction in Anaheim
Tickets On Sale Now

May 5, 2023 – Los Angeles, CA – Tyler Posey has shared his newest single “Runnin’” off of his upcoming album UNRAVEL, out May 26. Utilizing the sounds of the Pacific Ocean, “Runnin’” showcases a more chilled-out, laid-back side of Tyler that has yet to be seen in his previously released music.

Fans can stream “Runnin’” now at https://ffm.to/tylerposey-runnin

On the new track, Tyler shares, “Runnin’’ is dope. We [Tyler, co-producer Matt Malpass] recorded it in Hawaii. The waves you hear in the intro are the actual waves we recorded from our Airbnb, whose backyard was the Pacific Ocean. It was the first song we wrote that was a real deviation from pop punk for this album. I’m proud to say we did that deviation justice. I hope you enjoy and feel the sand on your feet and the mist from the breaking waves on your face.”

Earlier this week, Tyler announced a release show for his upcoming album UNRAVEL, taking place on June 10 at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA with special guests Phem and World’s First Cinema. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/3266039/tyler-poseywith-themworlds-first-cinema-anaheim-chain-reaction

UNRAVEL is set to be released on May 26. Produced by Matt Malpass and John Feldmann, the album features sixteen new tracks, including previous singles “Lemon,” which premiered originally in Teen Wolf: The Movie on Paramount+, “Gravity,” and “Don’t Mind Me.” Fans can pre-order UNRAVEL now at https://www.merchbucket.com/collections/tyler-posey

On the new album, Tyler shares, “Being an independent artist, there is a lot of freedom, and that’s exactly what this album is. Freedom. It’s got every genre from screamo hardcore punk to chill beach vibes. Listen to it from start to finish in order, to really experience the ride that is UNRAVEL, my first full length LP!

Tyler Posey is no stranger to the spotlight. His storied acting and music career spans over a decade starring in dozens of TV shows and movies including Teen Wolf and Truth or Dare, as well as being a member of multiple bands including PVMNTS and Five North. In 2020, Posey decided to take a big step in his music career by becoming a solo artist

Standing alone in the spotlight for the first time has been freeing in more ways than one, least of all when it comes to his courage to open up about the hell that was 2020. The early days of the COVID pandemic were particularly pronounced for him, exacerbating deep-rooted anxiety, depression and childhood trauma that manifested in a self-destructive pattern of drug and alcohol abuse. Left to his own devices while quarantine orders ruled Los Angeles, life inside Posey’s home became a dangerous cycle of isolation and intoxication.

This new chapter of Posey’s career sets off a powder keg of personal reflection and growth, grounded by his elastic voice, juxtaposing a devil-may-care growl and smooth-throated pop-punk sheen.
