Shutter 16 Chats With Zack About New Album Pour It Out Into The Night

Ever since their 2008 self-titled EP, The Revivalists have become synonymous with the very best of roots rock. The band, led by vocalist David Shaw and guitarist Zack Feinberg, pours their heart and soul into their music and the result is sonic amazingness. The Revivalists bring such an incredible amount of passion, joy, and comfort into the world, pouring out of every speaker and pair of earbuds tuned into their music. In 2015, their break-out single “Wish I Knew You” went all the way to number one on Billboard’s Adult Alternative and Alternative charts earning the band their first platinum single.

Since then, The Revivalists have stayed true to who they are, reflecting that into the music they put out into the world. The band has recently released their fifth studio album Pour It Out Into The Night, via Concord Records. Over the years, the songwriting team of Shaw and Feinberg has just gotten better and better with this latest record being their best to date. With songs that bring not only hope and joy but also tackle difficult social and political issues. For me, the earmark of a good song is its ability to make you feel emotion and that is something that The Revivalists also seem to do. 

Shutter 16 had the opportunity to chat with guitarist and songwriter Zack Feinberg to get his insights on the new album and upcoming tour. You can listen to the interview in full below. 

The Pour It Out Into The Night tour kicks off this evening at the Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, MO with support from The Head & The Heart and Jamie Wyatt.  You can also catch The Revivalists at a slew of major music festivals this summer and fall including Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits.
