CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The heart of the Carolinas has been longing for a multi-day music festival for years. Independent music promoter MaxxMusic has teamed up with one of Charlotte’s oldest breweries, NoDa Brewing Company, to present Queen City Jam Session, a three-day music festival being held on the grounds of NoDa Brewing Company’s main Charlotte location on North Tryon Street on Aug. 19-21, 2022.

The lineup includes: GREENSKY BLUEGRASS, OTEIL AND FRIENDS (Oteil Burbridge, Eric Krasno, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Johnny Kimock and Jen Hartswick), THE INFAMOUS STRINGDUSTERS, The War and Treaty, The Mountain Goats, Bass Extremes featuring Victor Wooten & Steve Bailey, Spafford, Rebirth Brass Band, North Mississippi Allstars, Nikki Lane, The Nude Party, Della Mae, Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, The Suffers, Greg Cox, Benji Hughes, Natalie Car, Fireside Collective, Sarah Borges, Victoria Victoria, Josh Panda, Jazz Is Led, Bob Margolin, Travis T. Warren, Bill & The Belles, Adeem the Artist, Cyanca, Emanuel Wynter, Fedor & The Denim Denim, Jason Scavone, Swim in the Wild, Sinners & Saints, Emily Sage, Alan Charmer, Sonny Miles, Quentin Talley & The Soul Providers, Taylor Winchester, Yung Citizen, Falllift, Dane Page, and Heidi Sidelinker.

“I started MaxxMusic 26 years ago because bands were regularly skipping the Charlotte market and playing everywhere but here,” MaxxMusic founder Gregg McCraw says. “26 years later, it’s clear that most major cities have a music festival. It’s time that we had one of our own, so it’s exciting to fill that void. It’s the next obvious step in the evolution of MaxxMusic’s growth as an independent music promoter.”

Named after one of NoDa’s favorite craft beers, Queen City Jam Session will also feature food trucks, a VIP section with premium viewing and more.

“NoDa Brewing Co. has always had a passion for bringing together people in the community over a beer and for music,” Jacob Virgil, Director of Strategic Development for NoDa Brewing Company, says. “We are excited to marry the two and create what we hope will be Charlotte’s premier music festival for years to come.”

Three-day passes for the inaugural Queen City Jam Session music festival are $189. Kids under 7 will get in free. VIP tickets are $299 and include premier seating, a dedicated bar, two beers included each day and access to an express entrance.
