Band Celebrates the 21st Anniversary of Animosity with Tour, Heading To Charlotte for 2 Nights at the Neighborhood Theatre
Ever since their 1997 self-titled debut, the band Sevendust has been synonymous with heavy music. Their combination of raw riffs, aggressive rhythms, and great melodic structures have become a force to be reckoned with in the world of rock and metal. Their third album Animosity proved to be a gamechanger for them, spawning the hit singles “Praise” and “Angel’s Son,” propelling them into the world of mainstream success. With thirteen albums and countless tours under their belts, Sevendust continues to thrive and has garnered one of the biggest and most loyal fanbases in music.
Finally this year, after a delay due to COVID, the band is out on the road in commemoration of the 21st Anniversary of the Animosity album and fans everywhere couldn’t be happier. This weekend on Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, Sevendust will be playing two nights in Charlotte at the iconic Neighborhood Theatre. Shutter 16 had the chance to chat with guitarist John Connolly about his thoughts on Animosity and the current tour, the prospect of new music from Sevendust, and his band Projected which will be releasing their new album Hypoxia this June.
