Exclusive Interview: Chip Z’Nuff Talks The Beatles and New Album Hard Rock Nite
With their 1989 self-titled debut album, Enuff Z’Nuff burst onto the music scene and took the MTV generation by storm. Part glam-rock and part power-pop mixed with some bluesy hard rock stylings and the band had all the ingredients for chart-topping success. Songs like “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle” dominated the charts and became MTV staples in heavy rotation.
Fast forward several decades and several lineup changes later and Enuff Z’Nuff is stronger than ever releasing three key albums since bass guitarist Chip Z’Nuff has taken over lead vocal duties for the band. Their latest release Hard Rock Nite dropped today and although it is technically a Beatles cover record, it is much more than that. In fact, it’s more of a Beatles appreciation album as Chip and the band give their own take on classic Beatles tunes that show their love for the most iconic rock band ever to grace our fair planet. They also delve into the solo work of John Lennon and Paul McCartney to round out the Beatles experience Enuff Z’nuff style. Shutter 16 had the chance to chat with Chip via Zoom and get his take on the new record and everything Beatles-related. You can watch the interview in full below.
