North Carolina Based Singer-Songwriter Chats About Upcoming Album Catastrophic Dreams

If you’ve been a part of the Charlotte area music scene in any capacity, whether it be as a fan, musician, or elsewhere in the industry, chances are you’ve heard of singer-songwriter and producer Jason Scavone. And just in case you haven’t, here is your chance to catch up on things. Knowing he wanted to be a songwriter from the first time he heard Bob Dylan’s “One Too Many Mornings,” Jason has been doing exactly that and has been a fixture of the Charlotte music scene ever since.

During his tenure as frontman and songwriter for the indie-rock band The Noises 10, Jason signed deals with two major labels, recorded and mentored under producer Scott Valentine, and performed with the likes of Brandi Carlile, Derek Trucks Band, Jason Isbell, and 30 Seconds to Mars. In addition, Jason’s music has been featured in television shows One Tree Hill and Criminal Minds as well as the documentary Valiant.

As a solo artist, Jason continues to thrive with an ability to craft real-life songs that people can easily relate to as he crosses genres, blending the best of indie, rock, Americana, and pop for a sound that is distinctively his. His latest venture is a brand new album Catastrophic Dreams set to be released on February 10th. The new record is a terrific showcase of Jason’s talents and something all music lovers will want to check out. You can check out Jason live and in person in Charlotte on Wednesday, January 25th at The Evening Muse as he performs an “in the round” style show with Asheville musician Carly Taich and a full band show on Friday, February 17th at Petra’s Bar.
