Melt My Eyez See Your Future features 14 tracks in which he describes his new album as: “I like traditional hip-hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn’t give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.”

The set began with a large screen that looked like the planet Mars. The crowd, shoulder-to-shoulder, chanted loudly, “Denzel, Denzel, Denzel.” Curry walked out, with his silhouette visible in front of the large screen, and began the night with “Melt Session #1” from his new album with high energy. The crowd cheered loudly, rapping every word along. He then slowed it down to “Walkin” which also was from his new album. City skylines appeared on the screen behind him as he moved on to “Worst Comes to Worst.”

Every song had a carefully thought-out production around it – from lights, screen display, and more. Curry lit up the whole venue as the crowd fed off his energy as he played his set of 18 songs. The whole night felt like a collective party as everyone rapped, sang, danced, and bounced together. Overall, the audience was pretty devout fans as they knew almost all the lyrics to every song he performed. Notably memorable was his attentiveness to the crowd. He interacted closely, watched out for his fans, and talked to them several times throughout the night. The love for Curry could be felt throughout the night for sure. If you ever get a chance, definitely go see Denzel Curry in action.
