Acclaimed Singer-Songwriter Ani DiFranco To Bring Her Folky Vibes To Charlotte and Milwaukee

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of her iconic live album, Living In Clip, singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco is in the midst of her Fall 2022 Tour and will be making a stop here in Charlotte and early next year in Milwaukee. She may be known as “The Little Folksinger,” but DiFranco’s music encompasses everything from folk, funk, and soul to hip-hop, jazz, and electronica for an aural experience unlike any other.

The Grammy-winning artist is also a feminist icon, creating her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, back in 1990. Di Franco has collaborated over the years with the very best including Prince and has shared the stage with legendary performers Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and even Chuck D.

In addition to her live dates, Righteous Babe is offering a limited edition re-mastered edition of Living In Clip, including vinyl for the first time. The album will include a new cover as well as previously unreleased photos of Ani and her crew from that era.

2023 looks to be an even busier year for DiFranco with more tour dates on the way and the release of her children’s book The Knowing coming in March. DiFranco says,” I always relish a new challenge and creative adventure in life. Making a book for young readers was one such. I’m hoping young people will connect with the message I am sending out in this book- that underneath all the labels and social and cultural signifiers, we are spirit, we are love incarnate, we are one.”
