Heads Up Charlotte Music Fans! The Inaugural Queen City Jam Session Is Almost Here

The city of Charlotte is lucky to have a terrific and thriving music scene, but the one thing the Queen City has lacked is its own music festival. Two local entrepreneurs, Gregg McCraw of MaxxMusic and Jacob Virgil of NoDa Brewing, decided that was no longer an option and in less than two short weeks, they are bringing Charlotte a new home-grown music festival, The Queen City Jam Session.
Both Gregg and Jacob are well-known in the local music scene and have joined forces to put together a festival that showcases not only national artists but local and regional talent as well. The festival takes place from August 19 through August 21 at NoDa Brewing Northend Taproom and will offer a little something for all music lovers. With three stages, there will be a continual flow of music both indoors and out that runs the gamut from bluegrass and Americana to alternative and everything in between. Headlining acts include Oteil & Friends, The Infamous Stringdusters, and Greensky Bluegrass. Your 3-day festival wristband is also good for admission to the Late Night Party at Neighborhood Theatre on Friday and Saturday nights.
In addition to the music, there will of course be plenty of craft beer selections from NoDa Brewing available to quench your thirst and a wide variety of food truck options to get your nosh on. Local art will also be part of this amazing festival with a rotation of artists showcasing their work throughout the event.
Featuring three days of music, art, food, and beer, The Queen City Jam Session is destined to become “the” festival of the summer this year and for many years in the future.
