Xmas is coming early to Asheville this year with the 30th annual Christmas Jam
Happy Early Christmas!
Have you ever wanted to wander off to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and land in a city filled with music and art? All while surrounded by crisp air and supporting an amazing cause. If this sounds absolutely wonderful (which we know it does), you’ll definitely want to check out Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam.
Once a year, Grammy Award-winning vocalist/songwriter Warren Haynes gathers some of his magical musical friends for a weekend of giveback and get down. Best known for being a longtime guitarist for The Allman Brothers Band and being a founding member of Gov’t Mule he’s no stranger to music and loves to give back to the community and his hometown.
These two nights filled with music allow proceeds to go towards the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity which helps to fund construction of energy-efficient new houses for those looking to ease the burden of a mortgage. With this partnership families can apply volunteer hours to go towards the purchase of their new home.
This year the Christmas Jam celebrates its 30th anniversary and with that come some big name acts to take the stage. Between both Friday and Saturday night you can find acts such as Dark Side of the Mule, Grace Potter, Dave Grohl, Jamey Johnson, Robert Kearns, Gov’t Mule, and many more take to the stage at Asheville’s US Cellular Center. Oh yea and did we mention that Eric Church is also scheduled to appear. This is going to be one weekend of music you will not
