Woodstock 50th Anniversary Is Happening, Twice!

Woodstock 50th Anniversary

Before Bonnaroo and Coachella there was undoubtedly the most historic live music event held in Upstate New York. Woodstock was and still is the most iconic music festival and it’s back not for one, but two separate festivals this summer. Taking place during the same weekend. The two will be held from August 16th thru 18th. One site will be at the original 1969 Woodstock Music and Art festival grounds, Bethel Woods Center for The Arts and the other at Watkins Glen, NY.

Bethel Woods is the Golden Anniversary event produced by Live Nation and is rumored to feature acts like Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Ariana Grande, Eminem, Foo Fighters and more. Also, Carlos Santana has confirmed that the Woodstock he will perform at is Bethel Woods.

Watkins Glen is being produced by original Woodstock promoter Michael Lang who chose to do it at Watkins Glen citing space issues at Bethel Woods. Neither has unveiled their line-ups. However, Lang has said he has around 40 acts currently locked-in and expects around 100k people per day.

Line-up announcements and more information are expected in the coming weeks and when we know more, so will you. Stay tuned as 2019 is looking legendary!
