Tour Preview & Ticket Giveaway – Killswitch Engage and Anthrax return for KillThrax 2

One of 2017’s best tours is returning for 2018.

No, it’s not a festival.

Killswitch Engage and Anthrax are ringing in 2018 the heavy metal way, with their KillThrax Tour. The two metal giants will once again join forces to ravage North America, presented by Sirius XM’s Liquid Metal. The tour was one of heavy music’s highlights in 2017 and it’s sure to be a treat for music fans in 2018. The tour’s support will come from Colorado natives Havok, who bring a special element of their own to round out the tours lineup.

Killswitch Engage have been spreading positivity to the masses through their music for almost 20 years now, and in my opinion they’re one of the best metal bands of the 2000’s. The band led by singer Jesse leach is currently supporting their latest release “Incarnate,” which was released via RoadRunner Records on March 11th, 2016 (you can purchase the record HERE). The album received a ton of attention thanks to the hardhitting and catchy singles “Hate By Design” & “Cut Me Loose.” The band opened the record cycle with a five date tour playing various size venues across New York City before announcing the first edition of the KillThrax Tour.

What can you expect from Killswitch’s live show? Look forward to amazing energy on stage and in the crowd, loud sing alongs, crazy stage antics courtesy of guitarist Adam D  and a band that pours their hearts out onstage like no other. If you haven’t seen them live then this is definitely a can’t miss show.

KillThrax Co-headliners Anthrax (Megaforce Records) are out in support of their 2016 release For All Kings, which found incredible success after releasing the albums single “Breathing Lightning.” The song practically took over airwaves on hard rock and metal radio around the globe. The Big Four giants have been entertaining metal fans since the group formed in 1981, but don’t be fooled by the length of their career. Anthrax are no novelty act. I’ve seen the band a handful of times over the years and these guys go harder than some of today’s newer acts. The band’s passion and fire for their music and fans shines through their live performance, so expect to see fast pace stage antics, lots of head banging and lead singer Joey Belladonna showing off his pipes we’ve all come to love. Anthrax are legends and if you haven’t seen them live, you need to! I promise you will not be disappointed.

Rounding out this year’s KillThrax lineup is Denver, Colorado’s thrash metal band Havok. The band is out on this tour supporting their fourth album Conformicide, which was released in 2017 via Century Media Records and can be purchased HERE. The album received praise from metal fans for its sonically dynamic and thoughtful songs. It saw the band finding their sound and expanding upon it, in one of 2017’s best albums in my opinion. Havok is known for being one of the hardest working bands in metal, and making fans everytime they get in front of new audiences. The band spent most of 2017 extensively touring North America and Europe, and it doesn’t look like they have plans of slowing down. What you can expect from Havok live is a dynamic performance filled with incredible musicianship and ear crushing sound. Get ready to headbang and remember the name because seeing them live is unforgettable.

I was lucky enough to witness round one of the KillThrax tour and I look forward to seeing round two. I can’t speak highly enough of these bands and this tour. I promise you this is one of the can’t-miss tours of 2018. Each band brings their unique brand of metal and they all are known for being amazing live bands. If round two is anything like the tour’s first go, you’ll be seeing alternating sets by Killswitch and Anthrax which should find each band playing about an hour and 15 min set. The crowd’s mixed with metal fans of all ages and a great setlist. Do not miss out!
