This Is Not A Drill! Roger Waters Announces 2020 North American Tour

The Legendary Musician To Play Live In The Round For The First Time Ever

Legendary singer, songwriter, bassist, composer, and vocalist Roger Waters has announced the This Is Not A Drill tour coming to 31 cities across North America this summer. For the first time ever, Waters will be playing live in the round beginning in July with what is sure to be an epic show.

Waters is, of course, the co-founder of the biggest progressive rock band to ever grace a stage, Pink Floyd and became the band’s conceptual leader after the departure of Syd Barrett in 1968. With Pink Floyd, Waters led the band to legendary status with two of the greatest concepts albums of all time with The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. He has also had a successful solo career with his latest album released in 2017, Is This The Life We Really Want? His hopes for this summer’s tour are to spark a global movement of like-minded people who are ready to change things for the better. Politicians and world leaders have certainly failed at the task, perhaps Waters can affect change through the power of his music and his message of love for all.

“It’ll be a new show. It will be no-holds-barred. My work is to think, ‘Well, how can I make rock & roll more interesting or theatrical or exciting or visual or musical or whatever?’  That’s what I’ve spent the last 50 years doing, expressing myself,” said Roger Waters of the upcoming tour in his September 2019 interview with Kory Grow, Rolling Stone.

Tickets for the tour go on sale, Friday, January 31st. The tour is being promoted by AEG Present’s Concerts West.
