The Second Annual Bourbon & Beyond Festival Returns With A Bang

If you are looking for mass quantities of bourbon and a lineup so intense it’ll have you buzzed just by seeing the announcement flyer, look no further than the Second Annual Bourbon & Beyond Festival in Louisville, Kentucky! As soon as the lineup was announced, Facebook posts and tweets flowed from social media like bourbon! For only being the second year of this captivating festival, the good people over at Bourbon & Beyond are not pulling any punches with the festivities this time around.

In efforts to outshine last year’s inaugural festival, the good people over at Bourbon & Beyond heard the fans and have responded. This year is much bigger with more gourmet food, more whiskey, speakeasy’s and more legendary artists such as Sting, Lenny Kravitz , Gov’t Mule, Robert Plant, John Mayer, and MORE! Anticipate a much larger turn out and wide range of connoisseurs of bourbon which is one of the things Kentucky is famous for, food that would make Bobby Flay’s mouth water and the best thing about any music festival other than all of that, is the opportunity to share memories with other fans! There are culinary delights and bourbon workshops to keep things flowing in all the right ways so come out to this one!

This festival has already been garnered as one of the most anticipated ones go to due to the high activity and chatter on social media. Fans were very eager for this year’s lineup the minute last year’s fest ended. Much to our surprise it didn’t take long for us all to start arranging our own wish lists of artists we’d like to see take the stage. With a thrall of incredible supporting bands, you don’t want to miss this year’s Bourbon & Beyond Festival!

With the ever popular festival on the horizon, you can’t help but be excited to know that an artist like John Mayer will be performing and giving the Louisville crowd one hell of a show with his profound guitar skills and impressive vocal range.

Here’s the new single for you to sink your teeth into until he takes the stage this year.

John Mayer has been at the top of the American Billboard charts several times with his hit singles and an vast album catalogue that very few artists can say they’ve done at his stage in the industry! To have John Mayer at the event this year will surely add to the experience.

Lenny Kravitz is a household name when it comes to rock music and having a huge stage presence, but also for giving us all music to groove to for the last several years. Kravitz is a world renowned talent who continues to blaze his own trail of musical magic from the hits we know and love like, “American Woman”, “Fly Away” and “Are You Gonna Go My Way”. But you can now find Kravitz gearing up for the release of his new record Raise Vibration. Having released now two singles, “Low” and “It’s Enough,” you can be damn sure that Kravitz will blow your minds at this years festival! This lineup is a stacked one, not to be missed!

Singer-songwriter Sting is making his debut on the Bourbon & Beyond Stage this year as well. Anyone who is into music at all knows that this guy has a been on the scene for a good while, and has a very impressive career on his resume. From leading vocals and bass with The Police, and their countless hits to his own personal solo work, and now out touring with Shaggy promoting their new collaborative record 44/876, Sting has been out showing many that he has a true passion for music as a craft and it doesn’t matter what genre you put him in! Sting will surely be one of the artists to watch at this year’s festival!

Blackberry Smoke is joining this impressive lineup to continue to take things Beyond as the festival headline name suggests, rolling in with some heat of their own fresh off of some very successful tours, releases and collaborations. The band looks to continue the success they have had lately adding this festival to their resume will do just that by gaining even more fans from the Bluegrass State, as they always give one hell of a concert experience! Catch them on tour.

To make things much much more interesting and exciting, the man himself Robert Plant will be joining this years lineup of talent to get the fans on their feet with glasses up toasting to a damn good time. Now, Robert Plant has more than an impressive resume with festivals, having played numerous ones with Led Zeppelin alone, not to mention his solo career that’s always been one to shine! For the last few years Plant has been focusing on himself which to some fans has been quite alright while he has been writing and producing music in a solo career, even collaborating with other artists such as Alison Krauss! You can be certain if one thing, Robert Plant will be bringing all he’s got to the stage! If you are looking for the perfect fall music festival, look no further than Bourbon & Beyond 2018!

With all the aforementioned excitable events to unfold at this years Bourbon & Beyond, one could not be more ecstatic about the killer music, great bourbon, and food, and most of all, you the fans! The very core of any great festival is the fans, it always has been. Without you all there would be no reason for artist’s to tour or have meet and greets and to gather the event of the best for a truly one of a kind music experience! Brandon Hanks is a photojournalist hailing from Owensboro, Kentucky. Brandon started his obsession with photography dating back to 2001. Since getting his first taste of the music industry in 2016 with Nothing More, he has since worked with some of his favorites to some of the biggest names in music: Black Stone Cherry, Highly Suspect, Bush, Skillet, Green Day, and Scott Stapp. "If you were to tell me I'd be doing this (concert photography) with the artists I've worked with in my first year, I'd call you a liar," said Hanks. Brandon's fire and willingness to adapt to any setting and environment while being able to take on any challenge thrown at him makes him a force and a future in this industry looks brighter with every show.
