How can you take something that’s been done over and over before and give it new life? Danny Wimmer would answer that question with the very first Sonic Temple Art and Music festival. Being held May 17, 18, and 19 2019 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus Ohio! This has to be the most diverse collection of musical talent any festival has ever seen. When we say diverse, we mean it!

The Struts (6)

With the likes of bands such as  The Struts, The Fever 333, Halestorm, System Of A Down and Foo Fighters you can be certain that punches will not be pulled and that there will be surprises around every corner. This is just the tip of the iceberg of a long list of bands that will be playing Sonic Temple.

It should be noted but not forgotten that Danny Wimmer Presents has given us all some of the most memorable festivals the United States has ever seen, such as, Rock On The Range, Chicago Open Air, Rock Allegiance, Louder Than Life and Bourbon And Beyond just to name a few of the amazingly badass festivals this team has given us. With a record like that, you can guarantee that Sonic Temple Art And Music Festival will be no exception to the rule.

The diversity will continue and pour from the many choices of drinks and eats at this year’s first Sonic Temple Festival with these spectacular choices: Bonifacio Filipino Restaurant, Brü Brothers Coffee, Buckeye Donuts, Caduceus Wine Garden, Cousin’s Maine Lobster, Craft Beer Bar, Hangry City and many more!

To make this festival experience even more intriguing there will be a special tent dedicated to spoken word artists such as Andrew Dice Clay, Pauley Shore and Henry Rollins with even more to be announced soon as the weeks continue to pass from the Sirius XM Comedy and Spoken Word Tent!

There are many bands on this festival lineup, however here are our picks of ones we are really excited to see at this year’s very first Sonic Temple as we look ahead to be rocked to our very core and feel this one in our chest:

MUST SEE PICKS:

Foo Fighters

The Foo Fighters are long-time veterans in the music world who have more than just a voice, they have a footprint on the damn moon, walking and blazing trails many bands before or after them will dare not blaze. Dave Grohl leads the charge of this scorching hot band that has not stopped producing hit tour after hit tour, so why would they stop now? Hawkins, Grohl, Mendel, Smear, Shiflett and Jaffee are all very much a well-oiled festival machine so it will come as to no surprise the amount of intensity they bring to the main stage for Sonic Temple, having just released their 9th studio album last year with “Concrete And Gold”, The Foo Fighters are looking to begin 2019 with a bang. Will you be at Sonic Temple to let them show you how loud that bang is?

 Halestorm

Halestorm has been a busy band this year, looking to begin 2019 just as busy they will be capitalizing off of a very fun, successful and empowered run with friends In This Moment and New Years Day. Powerhouse, leader of her freaks, monumental leading woman, pioneer, all words synonymous with the name Lzzy Hale. The band has just recently released their fourth studio record, the powerful rockers are breathing a new life into the sound and presence of their music. Talking about that pioneering spirit, the Lzzy Hale has been quite the leader in helping bring back the women’s revolution in rock! Her positive message about being who you are and loving who you are, minor footnotes to the message she is sending out to her fellow ladies that love to rock just as much as (if not a little more) than the guys. Known for touring practically nonstop with over 200+ shows a year, Halestorm will for sure be one of the most talked about bands at 2019’s Sonic Temple Festival!

Badflower

Emerging from the Los Angeles California is the year’s breakout band, Badflower. Having 300,000+ hours of their music streamed on Spotify alone, not to mention the hit song “Ghost” that has risen to the top of the rock charts all across the world and many personal playlists, Badflower have been building quite the name for themselves going back to touring with bands, Red Sun Rising and Pop Evil, the band has garnered the attention of many fans and then some since the stint with those bands. Keeping their sights set on the release of their first studio album, Badflower has been playing shows here and there, even a few private events to help pay for the studio time to show everyone what Badflower is all about. Anyone who has a radio or a smartphone can see by the music videos or tracks on iTunes how things will go once the band releases their album “ok, I’m sick”. You can guarantee that Sonic Temple will have tons of energy from the Los Angeles based band as they look to gain even more momentum towards 2019.

The Plot In You

Ohio natives The Plot In You look to draw in a massive local crowd playing one of their biggest shows to date and it just so happens to be in their home state of Ohio. To those who aren’t familiar with these guys, you are really missing out! With a frontman like Landon Tewers who is about as versatile as they come for a leading man, there isn’t a style of music he can’t sing. Leading the band into this specific genre of metal core, The Plot In You look to continue to conjure up newer fans of their music having just unleashed their recent album “Dispose” and releasing five music videos off the record. One thing is for sure, the band knows how to express themselves, integrating so much emotion and energy into each video, it really feels like performance art at times to which I say “wow” there hasn’t been a band to come along in some time to show such creativeness and passion in their music. You can be sure The Plot In You will bring everything they’ve got to Sonic Temple in 2019!

 Bring Me The Horizon

Chant the mantra and get ready for a headbanging good time with Bring Me The Horizon, fresh off the heels from kicking off a very successful tour in support of their new record “amo”, The English metalcore juggernauts look to share their music with a very diverse lineup and hungry fans of the now 14 year old band. Achieving some serious air time over in the UK and here domestically, BMTH is picking up speed with their newest release coming out January 25th, 2019. What a way to build on the success of a new record than to play it on one of the biggest stages in the United States at Mapfre Stadium. Who knows what you may see for this performance, this band is widely known for their hardcore techno innovative performances that have more octane than you could imagine. Don’t miss your chance to see Bring Me The Horizon at the very first Sonic Temple Festival!
