Post Malone to bring Beerbongs & Bentleys to the Queen City

Soundcloud alumni, guitar hero champion, ghost hunter, and Bud Light connoisseur Post Malone, is hitting the road this month playing 28 cities with 21 Savage as a part of his North American tour. The tour kicks off on the 26th in Portland, Oregon and continues until June with a final stop in San Francisco on the 24th.

Becoming a well known name in the music industry after the release of White Iverson back in 2015, the Texas native attained an exponential fanbase in a matter of months. Within the same year he signed onto Republic records and in 2016, opened for Justin Bieber during his Purpose Tour. In 2017, Post Malone (a.k.a. Austin Post) went from living in his friends closet in Los Angeles to becoming an American “Rockstar” with the release of “Congratulations”.

“Rockstar” was released in February of 2017 and has since become a triple platinum smash hit with over 900 million streams on Spotify. In February of this year, he released “Psycho” which features Ty Dolla $ign and is the second single (with “Rockstar” as the first) from Beerbongs & Bentleys.

Having previously covered Nirvana and Green Day at live shows, going viral on Twitter for a soulful and emotional live version of “I Fall Apart”, and inviting special guests onstage such as 50 cent, anything goes at a Post Malone concert. The hip-hop/ rap artist is also bringing along SOB X RBE and Paris to support, making for a great lineup and entertaining evening. Post will likely invite tourmate, 21 Savage to sing “Rockstar” with him during his set. Although it is hard to guess what songs will be featured on the setlist, it is highly unlikely that Post will fail to please. Attaining fans of all ages and backgrounds, music fanatics of all genres and eras are expected to attend the string of shows. As Post draws influence from Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Toby Keith, and Kanye West, his music has a little something for everyone.

If you ever watch a single live video of Post Malone on YouTube, it easy to see how he pours his heart and soul into his live shows. From small clubs to large arenas Post is able to captivate a crowd and have them bouncing on their feet.

Post Malone’s sophomore album Beerbongs & Bentleys, although scheduled to drop in December of 2017, has since been pushed back. Last night at his show in Nashville he told the crowd it’s going to be out April 27th! With the purchase of tickets to one of Post’s shows, fans will receive a physical copy of his new album when released. He will be playing the Queen City on May 16 at PNC Music Pavilion.

As a talented artist and amazing performer, Post Malone provides for the ultimate package. His catchy tracks and ability to capture raw emotion in his art is unlike any other current artist. Whether or not we will hear new songs from Beerbongs & Bentleys is a question that will have to be answered by attending one of his concerts. The span of shows across North American cities will likely be one of the hottest tours of the summer and something you definitely will not want to miss.
