New June Americana with Singer Chuck Westmoreland

Add to: Summer Jams 2018

Looking for some new Americana music to get you through the heat? Look no further than Long Winter Rodeo by singer-songwriter Chuck Westmoreland, released June 1 on Black and Gold Records. This project is a little dark and full of the classic country storytelling listeners love.

Westmoreland is actually a bar owner, using the nightlife to fuel his lyrical creativity; borrowing theirs and his own personal stories to write songs. Essentially a man and his guitars (sidenote: Westmoreland actually MADE some of the electric guitars used on this album. According to him, “It gets pretty addictive.”) and his voice, giving you raw lyrics. My personal favorite track is “Prisoners,” a gritty tune that compliments his vocals perfectly.
