The legitimate one and only Kid Rock wore the crown of the Queen City last night as he brought his latest album, Sweet Southern Sugar, to the Spectrum Center. Kid Rock is currently on his American Rock N Roll Tour, playing those sweet sounds all across America in the only way he knows how: a rock show.

Opening up the American Rock N Roll Tour was Nashville’s own A Thousand Horses. Though the band dabbles in collab’s here and there, they’re mostly known for their 2015 release
Southernality. Fast forward two years and the band are currently supporting their 2017 EP Bridges. The deluxe EP features a live version of their hit track “Smoke.”

After an energetic, folk jam with A Thousand Horses, Kid Rock was wasting no time to get to the stage.

Though Sweet Southern Sugar consists of only ten tracks, the album becomes golden for other reasons: SSS is Kid Rock’s first album recorded in Nashville, TN, and it shows.

Sure, it’s a little country and a little classic, but there’s something about making art in the heart of Nashville that is present on every final form.

Fans were treated to several brand new tracks, including “Greatest Show On Earth,” “Po-Dunk,” and, of course, “American Rock N’ Roll.” Lucky for them, however, Kid Rock dipped into some of his older material to really get the party going, playing songs like “Cowboy,” “All Summer Long,” and “Bawitdaba.”

Stand out moment: Beyond the cool lights, energy, and yee-haw moments? Second song of performance he stood on a podium and poured a full political speech. Kid Rock for Senate! Then it turned into Kid Rock for President! He said he… and we quote this total pimp moment:

“Would be in the Oval Office with my dick in hand as I addressed the American people!”

Cowboy hats, empty beer cans, and tons of goofy smiles walked out of the Spectrum Center last night, and it’s all thanks to Kid Rock and his American Rock N Roll Tour!

Catch the man himself on tour for the rest of winter and who knows, maybe he’ll drop some summer fun too before he heads out on his political campaigning trail! #KidRockForPresident
