Kesha’s Latest Tour is all Rainbows

Overcoming a court battle, rehab, and finding herself again, Kesha is all sunshine and rainbows

Since her debut hit “Tik Tok” released in 2010, the millennial queen of pop, Kesha, has been in and out of the tour life, the studio, producing three albums, and has done several collaborations with artists such as Pitbull, 3OH!3, and Flo Rida. But what is this soulful ex-party girl up to these days? Why, gearing up for the 2017 RAINBOW tour of course!

For those of you who don’t know who Kesha is, let’s have a little info drop. Kesha Rose Sebert, formally know by Ke$ha, hit the music scene way back in 2010 with the release of her debut album Animals, which consisted of singles “Your Love in My Drug” and “Tik Tok,” which took the local club scene by storm. Pushing her name further into the scene was her work with artist Flo Rida on his track “Right Round.” Since 2013, Kesha has been in a legal battle with her former producer Dr. Luke (known collectively as Kesha vs. Dr. Luke), thus explaining her absence from the music world.

In addition to her musical talents, Kesha is an ordained minister who was ordained online! She has performed several marriage ceremonies for same sex couples and in a 2013 interview stated that “I don’t love just men. I love people. It’s not about gender.” In 2014 Kesha checked into rehab for an eating disorder, which she has now defeated.

Kesha’s third studio album Rainbow hit shelves on August 11th 2017, proceeded by her single “Praying.” Rainbow was released via RCA Records and Kemosabe Records. The album peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 lost shortly after its release. The album not only helped breathe new life into the Kesha fandom who have been patiently waiting for new music since 2013, but helped the artist deal with the various emotions that and stressful life events that have been transpiring.

The RAINBOW tour is all but sold out, with the exception of two shows in Los Angeles CA, and London, United Kingdom. Excited fans have been flocking to their favorite ticket hubs and buying them up like discount Jeffree Star cosmetics. Making a quick stop on tour, Kesha will be performing at the sold out I HEART RADIO Music Festival on September 22nd and 23rd. Don’t fret though, if you weren’t fortunate enough to get tickets to this showcase of crazy stupid talent, you can watch the show in its entirety on The CW app on your favorite device.

Kesha will be stopping in two North Carolina locations on this leg of the tour. Playing at The Fillmore Charlotte on September 30th, and then in the state capitol of Raleigh at The Ritz. As mentioned before both shows are sold out, so be begging that friend with an extra ticket to let you go! Rainbow is available now on most major streaming services and of course you can purchase in store. The RAINBOW tour will conclude on November 14th in London. Make sure to follow Shutter 16, and Kesha to keep up with the tour shenanigans!
