Jinjer Brings A Little Metal Madness Into Our Lives With New Live Video

Ukrainian Modern Metal Band Crushes It With Live Performance Of “Pit of Consciousness”

It’s no secret that the last few weeks have been life-changing for not only our country but the entire world with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Activities that we once took for granted like going to work or grabbing a bite to eat with friends are no longer allowed as people around the globe hunker down at home to help stop the spread of the virus and keep hospital systems all over the world from becoming overwhelmed. Live music has come to a halt and our beloved music community has been coming up with new and unique ways to keep music alive for all of the fans at home.

What better way to turn things up than with a video of an absolutely bone-crunching song from one of the best modern metal bands in the world? Jinjer’s latest video for “Pit of Consciousness,” from their most recent release Macro, brings all the craziness of their live set right to your screen. The video was filmed by Oleg Rooz who has worked with the likes of Suicidal Tendencies, The Dillinger Escape Plan,  and Enter Shikari during the band’s 2019 Kiev performance.

Commented bass player Eugene Abdukhanov: “Back when we recorded this show we were on the tail end of a 6 month tour and somewhere in between all that madness we managed to write and record Macro… it was an extremely stressful time. But it was one of the most positive times of our lives. Things right now look pretty grim and no one knows what will happen next. We want to release this video with the hopes of letting people know that no matter how crazy, confusing and scary things get – BETTER TIMES are on the way. Let’s use the time at home in isolation to take a good look inside and learn about our true selves…”

Devastating riffs, aggressive vocals, powerful melodies, and astonishingly deep lyrics are what make their new album, Macro, JINJER’s most advanced and undeniable album yet – taking the listener on a journey of trauma, power struggle and greed with a progressive groove metal backdrop.
