Jesse McCartney To Kick Off The Resolution Tour This Friday

Tour Will Hit NC Next Week

America got its first glimpse of singer, songwriter, and actor Jesse McCartney when he rose to fame in the late nineties playing the role of JR Chandler on the hit daytime drama All My Children. McCartney would quickly branch out into the music world, joining the pop boy band Dream Street. During his three year tenure with the band, the group would release two albums, with their debut record achieving gold status, and several hit singles including “It Happens Everytime” and “Sugar Rush.” The experience would prove to be a great stepping stone for Jesse’s music career and he began working on a solo album at the young age of fifteen. His debut EP quickly launched him into teen idol super-stardom with the hit single “Beautiful Soul.” The song would go on to be the title track of his first full length album which was certified platinum and landed at the number fifteen spot on the Billboard Top 200.

McCartney’s success would not stop there as he went on to win multiple Teen Choice Awards and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. His talents also led to an ongoing relationship with Disney. Jesse has contributed on numerous Disney soundtracks including A Cinderella Story and That’s So Raven Too and has appeared on hit Disney Channel sitcoms the Suite Life of Zack & Cody as well as Hannah Montana. Several successful solo albums would follow with the release of Departure in 2008 and the long-awaited release of In Technicolor in 2014.

This past March Jesse set the music world abuzz with the release of a new single and video “Better With You.” With its soft, danceable groove, jangly guitars, and smooth vocals, “Better With You” opens a new chapter for McCartney showcasing his growth as an artist and a more mature perspective on his art. In a nutshell, Jesse is all grown up now and his music is a reflection of his adult life. He released the second single “Wasted”  off his forthcoming studio album in November, a sultry grooving track that has Jesse plaintively singing and wondering why “you only call me when you’re wasted.” McCartney has been active on Twitter teasing the 1/10 date through video clips entitled The Young and The Wasted recently and his tour, is set to kick off this Friday January 11th in Dallas, Texas at the House of Blues. Opening up for McCartney is the talented singer and songwriter Whitney Woerz. You can catch Jesse locally in North Carolina next week Thursday, 1/17 at the Fillmore Charlotte and Friday ,1/18 at the Ritz Raleigh.
