Metallica ANNOUNCE SECOND NORTH AMERICAN LEG OF WORLDWIRED TOUR

Metallica– They dropped a few hints this past weekend and now it is official… Metallica’s WorldWired Tour returns to North America this Fall!  Following last summer’s 25 date sold-out stadium run, this year Metallica is bringing the in-the-round production currently being seen in European arenas to the U.S. and Canada kicking off on September 2, 2018, in Madison, WI.  Along the way they will be visiting 34 cities that they did not go to last year, and a few that they haven’t been to in decades, including Grand Forks, ND (nearly 30 years), Sioux Falls, SD, El Paso, TX, Birmingham, AL (nearly 26 years) and State College, PA (20 years).  About time, wouldn’t you say?!

The Fall/Winter tour will mark a few firsts for the band. Each show will get rolling with the Light It Up pre-show party hosted by their very good friend Jim Breuer.  Jim, along with a DJ to get the night rocking with some great tunes, hits the stage before the band with comedy, fan interaction, giveaways and much more.  And if you love to travel and one show just isn’t enough, then perhaps the Wherever I May Roam Black Ticket is for you!  For the first time in ‘Tallica history, you may purchase one ticket that will allow you floor access to any Metallica show on the 2018/2019 North American tour.  Feel like trucking to Tulsa?  Booking to Boise?  Motoring to Minneapolis?  No problem… you pick the show, call us no less than 48 hours before the gig and you’re in!  A limited number of 250 of these Black Tickets* will be available for $598 (yes… celebrating the re-issue of the Garage Days Re-Revisited EP!).  All sale dates and times below.

Of course, some things don’t change!  As they have been doing for most of the WorldWired shows, every ticket purchased includes your choice of a standard physical or standard digital copy of Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Keep it for yourself or gift it to a friend or family member. You’ll receive info via e-mail after your ticket purchase on how to obtain your copy.**  The enhanced experience options designed to take your Metalli-night to the next level are also returning as Metallica continue to partner with the team that makes it all happen at CID Entertainment.  You’ll have three options of special enhanced experiences, including premium tickets and amenities ranging from early access to the venue and the “Memory Remains” exhibit of memorabilia to meeting some of the band(!) For full package details, visit https://www.cidentertainment.com/events/metallica-worldwired-tour

Finally, Metallica continue to raise funds for their All Within My Hands Foundation, which supports a cross-section of national, local and Bay Area charities, music education programs and local food banks. Continuing their collaboration with Crowdrise, Metallica encourage you to make a donation when purchasing tickets to the upcoming shows and each time you donate, you’ll be entered to win tickets, pre-show party passes, meet and greet passes, and one lucky winner will be flown to the last show on the tour. For more information, visit https://www.crowdrise.com/Metallica2018

“Enough!” you say. “How do I get tickets?” Presales for Fan Club members begin tomorrow, February 27th. Visit https://metallica.com/metclub for all the details. Public onsale is Friday, March 2nd at 10:00 AM local time.

Metallica’s WorldWired Tour is produced by Live Nation.

*”Wherever I May Roam” Black Tickets are non-transferable and if re-sold will be revoked.  Each ticket is good for entry to Metallica specific shows and may not be used for festivals, promotional shows, benefit concerts or any other dates not included in the 34 city North American tour announced on February 26, 2018.  Use of a Black Ticket will require a reservation for each show you plan to attend no less than 48 hours in advance.  More details about how to use your Black Ticket will be sent to purchasers via e-mail.

**Every ticket purchased through official outlets includes your choice of a standard physical or standard digital copy of Hardwired…To Self-Destruct. Fans should expect to receive information from Warner Music Artist Services on how to redeem their albums WITHIN 21 business days after their purchase. Full details of how you can gift the album, should you have already purchased, will be given on the redemption page.

* EYEHATEGOD only

EYEHATEGOD released their self-titled full-length in 2014 via Housecore Records. The record broke the band’s decade-and-a-half gap since their previous studio album and marked their most successful release to date landing at #82 on the Billboard Current Album chart, #92 on the Top 200 chart, #26 on the Rock chart, #4 on the Hard Rock chart and #12 on the Indie chart upon its first week of release. EyeHateGod reaped the praise of critics globally. Consequence Of Sound called EyeHateGod, “…their most entertaining release since 1996’s Dopesick… urgent and raw, as if the band hasn’t aged a day.” Pop Matters wrote, “EYEHATEGOD play to their ferociously metallic strengths while never compromising their identity as swampy sludge-rockers, and the result is an album that’s equally impressive as it is brutal.” Pitchfork gushed, they’ve come out swinging, armed with yet another of their often-renewed leases on life and still spoiling for a fight. That EyeHateGod exists at all is a miracle in and of itself, but the fact that it is so damn great is simply extraordinary.” Added Metal Injection, “in terms of consistency and sheer ‘fuck yeah!’-ness. this is right up there in that first tier of must have EYEHATEGOD platters.”

The band is celebrating their thirtieth anniversary this year. Stay tuned for special releases to be announced in the future. In the meantime, orders for EyeHateGod in North America can be placed via Housecore Records HERE.

THE LIGHTHOUSE AND THE WHALER

Announce Second Leg of U.S. Tour In Support of PATHS EP – With Special Guests Vita And The Woolf

Riding off of a high from the release of their latest EP PATHS which The Waster has hailed as “embodiment of adventurous free expression”, Cleveland’s THE LIGHTHOUSE AND THE WHALER are gearing up for a 20 date tour that kicks off in Nashville, TN’s The Basement on May 9th and winds out to the West Coast before returning them to their hometown’s Beachland Ballroom on June 2nd.  “I am especially excited to play in L.A. and Salt Lake City,” says vocalist/guitarist Michael LoPresti. “We have a lot of passionate fans in L.A. that we don’t often get a chance to play for so shows there are always really special. Last time through Salt Lake we had one of our most unexpectedly awesome shows there and we’re all really anticipating playing there again.” Philadelphia’s Vita And The Woolf will support.

With media both large and small including Rolling Stone, NPR, Paste, bestowing high praise on the four piece, The Lighthouse And The Whaler has been independently building a mini empire all their own. The follow-up to their critically-hailed 2015 album Mont Royal which was produced by Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire, The National), PATHS finds the band expanding on their previously roots-based rock to a more fully-realized crisp sound that likened them to the percussive harmonics of Local Natives, the sonic adventurousness of Broken Social Scene with the taut Britpop pogos of Two Door Cinema Club.  Local paper Cleveland Scene  characterized the “terrific new EP, PATHS” as “an homage to the synth-pop of the ’80s.

“I love playing ‘Paths’ and ‘Ascending’ from the EP.  ‘Ascending’ especially is even better live then it is on the EP,” Michael says about the difference between the lushness of the EP and the dynamics of their live show. “We substitute electric guitars for any of the acoustic parts and I think it gives the live performance an especially intense feeling.”

Now as the band gears up for the second leg of their tour in support of the EP, the band is already looking forward to new music.  “We are hard at work on new songs,” Michael says about what’s in store. “We will be releasing a few singles in the very near future as we continue towards our next full length, so hold tight!”

The Lighthouse And The Whaler is Michael LoPresti, Matthew LoPresti, Mark Porostosky Jr. and Ryan Walker.

Cut Chemist

NORTH AMERICAN TOUR LAUNCHES IN LA TODAY

Cut Chemist has released Die Cut, his first solo release since his 2006 critically lauded solo album The Audience’s Listening.

Both metaphorically and creatively speaking, Die Cut embodies a reawakening for Cut Chemist (Jurassic 5/Ozomatli). The record served as an emotionally-restorative outlet for legendary DJ as he processed the death of his father. The album also thrust him from the shadows of isolation and self-entrapment he encountered following a 30-day stint in jail after a DUI and a string of untimely loses. Desperately in need of companionship, Cut Chemist used Die Cut as a tool to surround himself with a network of live musicians, including Deantoni Parks (The Mars Volta), Biz Markie, actress Erika Christensen (Parenthood), tune-yards, Farmer Dave Scher, Dexter Story. The processes simultaneously created a community to surround him and reinventing his signature sample-based sound by creating an authentic-to-tape element that flawlessly balances both a new era for Cut Chemist and serves as a natural progression from The Audience’s Listening.  Cut Chemist will be hitting the road in March and April in support of Die Cut.
