Exclusive: Goo Goo Doll’s Robby Takac talks everything Dizzy Up The Girl

20 Years of Dizzy Up The Girl
New York legends Goo Goo Dolls are once again back on the airwaves with some of our favorite songs from the past twenty years. Streaming services and radio stations are preparing audiences for the 20th anniversary of their most recognizable album, Dizzy Up The Girl, a thirteen-track rollercoaster of love, heartache, and everything in between. The album is thought to be the band’s most successful album, though they were gaining traction prior to 1998 with “Name” in 1995. Tracks like “Iris”, “Slide”, and “Sympathy” have branded Goo Goo Dolls as a band who found the formula to writing meaningful music in the industry.
From recording memories to the events leading up to the tour, reporter Kris Englehart had a chat with founding member Robby Takac about everything Dizzy Up The Girl.
