If you know anything about music, you know that there are staples in genres. Tim McGraw is a country go-to, Lady GaGa is a pop star icon, and Dashboard Confessional is an emo dream come true.

Yes, the label “emo” came and went, then suddenly came back for a bit, and now we’re at a sigh-worthy response, but Dashboard Confessional’s place in music history is in the emotional arena.

Those emotions paid the Ritz Raleigh a visit last night, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. Sad tears or happy (mostly happy!), the crowd at the Ritz brought the venue to a level not many tours can.

With the help of Philly’s Kississippi and Beach Slang (hometown buds!), the We Fight tour has been one of the most sought after experiences in 2018.

Dashboard Confessional is currently supporting their latest release, Crooked Shadows, which has put the once quiet band back on the radar.

Barely a month old, the record marked the first release in nine years, giving a new meaning to the alt revival rumors that have been circulating.

The tour’s just begun, fighting its way through the Northeast, winding up and down the Midwest, and finishing up in CA, meaning you’ve got plenty of chances to get to a gig!
