London-based COUNTERFEIT (Xtra Mile Recordings) formed in 2015, the band which features the striking vocalist/guitarist Jamie Bower, guitarist Sam Bower, guitarist Tristan Marmont, bassist Roland Johnson and drummer Jimmy Craig. The band is very much cut from the same cloth as some of the British Undergrounds best acts. COUNTERFEIT have had no trouble headlining the U.K. and Europe even selling out The Electric Ballroom in 2016. Now in 2018 North American fans who have waited patiently for the British Punk rockers to come stateside have got their wish. The band announced in January of this year that they would be doing a full North American Tour covering the U.S. and Canada. This tour not only marks the band’s first coast to coast tour overseas but also a chance to meet the fans who have helped get them here.

COUNTERFEIT have long wowed fans and critics alike, ever since their Punk anthem filled debut EP Come Get Some was released in 2015. Led by the band’s frontman Jamie Bower who is also an actor known for roles in hit movies like Harry Potter and Twilight brings a larger than life, and unparalleled dynamic to the bands live shows and album. The band’s unapologetic and rowdy debut album Together We Are Stronger sent fans into a frenzy and wanting more; this is what makes the groups North American run a can’t miss.

The band made an appearance at The Knitting Factory Brooklyn for their May 1st date of the tour and we were there to catch all the action.

Brooklyn, NY packed into the The Knitting Factory for what would be quite the chaotic evening in the most beautiful of ways. COUNTERFEIT’s performance was full of high energy and tons of flipping both onstage and in the crowd. Singer Jamie Bower had no issue getting down and dirty with the New York City crowd even participating in the mosh pits erupting throughout the venue. The guys played for around an hour and left the ladies in the crowd swooning over the Brits, especially when Bower took to the crowd for acoustic performance in the middle of the venues floor. Looking around the crowd it would seem fun was had by all who attended and the band’s performance was a complete success. The Brooklyn crowd loved every minute of the chaos from the British rockers. The setlist included fan favorites like “Romeo”, “Close To Your Chest” and “Come Get Some” as well as some tracks from the upcoming album called “Paralyzed”and “Eleven Forty Four”.
