Post Malone has been having a hell of a 24 hours. Last night he gave a closing performance at the VMA’s with a newly reunited Aerosmith to everyone’s surprise. He also, along with 21 Savage, took home an award for Song of the Year for “Rockstar” last night.
Fast forward some hours to today and TMZ has been reporting about Post Malone for a completely different reason. The artist’s plane is currently in the air, circling to prevent a crash landing. Upon lift off the planes landing gear malfunctioned when its tires blew out. We know there are 16 people board and, as of right now, there are no parachutes on the plane.
In air traffic audio, obtained by TMZ, the pilot makes it clear: they’ve lost a tire. The pilot can be heard asking for permission to circle above. The air traffic control informed the pilot to continue flight to Massachusetts in order to burn more fuel for a safer possible landing. They have now reverted the flight to keep circling trying to figure a safer route for touch-down.
Our hearts are with Post, his team, the flight crew, and all of the families and fans anxiously awaiting word of this outcome.
We will keep you posted.
