Friday, January 20 – The Band of Heathens and The National Reserve invaded the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh. With several other events in town, a few that were sold out, that did not stop a venue full of music fans from supporting these out-of-towners. Raleigh was one of The Band of Heathens first tour stops promoting their new album release, Duende.

In spite of trials and tribulations with transportation, these guys were all determined to give Raleigh all they had! The National Reserve did an amazing job of warming up the crowd and making themselves feel right at home at The Lincoln Theatre.

After their performance Sean (lead vocals) hung out in the lobby at the merch tables with fans and expressed how much he enjoyed performing at The Lincoln Theatre. He was telling stories, taking photos, and sharing his awesome hat. He joked about how his sister nicknamed him,”Sean Bon Jovi.” This was a sure sign that The National Reserve Band will likely revisit Raleigh in the future.

The Band of Heathens opened their Raleigh show with,”Are you ready for the country?” It was when they began to perform, “Green Grass of California” and “Medicine Man” that the crowd became rockin’-stompin’ happy. At the end of what normally would be the last song of the night, the crowd demanded with chants and cheers that The Band of Heathens carry on for one more song.
